Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Texas Sealife Center. We are completely volunteer based, with no paid staff members. Volunteer responsibilities range depending on the daily tasks. Any given day, our volunteers can be seen scrubbing sea turtle tanks, doing dishes, cleaning bird enclosures, feeding, giving tours, helping with construction projects, and more. The tasks may not always glamorous; however, it is absolutely necessary for the wellbeing of our animals, and our volunteers are always ready and willing for the task.We cannot thank our volunteer staff enough for all of the things they do around our center, for our animals, and in order to make it a pleasant experience for our visitors!!
If you are interested in becoming a part of our volunteer family, please fill out the attached volunteer form and bring it by the facility. Volunteers are needed at the facility 7 days a week, from 9:30am-4:30pm. We typically ask our volunteers to commit to one day a week, in order to make sure that we are staffed properly.
